Attraverso la costruzione di dispositivi di visione, è messa ironicamente in atto una violazione dell’intima sicurezza su cui tutti ci adagiamo ed è profanato il riferimento sicuro dato dalle mura domestiche.
Quest’opera ha avuto due differenti realizzazioni, un video e un’installazione (le due opere vivono separatamente).
Nel video sono state monitorate e riprese alcune scene di vita quotidiana. E’ stata montata una telecamera fissa a inquadrare un palazzo, il montaggio in loop del girato, mostrerà il trascorrere di 24 h. Il video è privo di audio.
L’installazione è composta da: una fotografia dello stesso palazzo ripreso nel video inserita all’interno di una teca in plexiglass, sulla fotografia è applicata una lente di ingrandimento “da appoggio” per filatelia che svela e mostra l’interno di uno degli appartamenti.
L’osservatore si troverà a sbirciare nelle case degli altri, a indagare gli interni, a sconsacrarne l’intimità e “l’estensione del se” (Oliver Marc), a spingersi con lo sguardo e con l’immaginazione e, senza avere modo di percepire le voci e suoni, scruterà l’edificio.
Sia nel video sia nella fotografia lo spettatore è mantenuto a distanza, in una posizione di osservazione non partecipativa, condotto e relegato nello status di voyeur.

Through the construction of devices for viewing is ironically caused a violation of one’s most intimate security on which all of us depend, by symbolically violating the secure element represented by our homes.
This work has had two different outputs, a video and an installation (the two works are living separately).
In the video I have monitored and included scenes of everyday life. A fixed video camera was mounted in front of a building and the loop editing of the film, will show a lapse of 24 hours. The video will be left without any sound. The installation consists of: a photograph of the same building placed inside a Plexiglass showcase, on the photo there is a “supporting” magnifying glass used by postage stamp collectors, which reveals the inside of one of the flats.
The observer will find himself peeping at other people’s homes, enquiring about the interiors and deconsecrating its intimacy and the “expression of inner self” (Oliver Marc), peering and straining his imagination, without being able to perceive any voices or sounds, He will observe the space.
In the video and in the photograph the viewer keeps a distance, a position of nonparticipatory observation, conducted and relegated to the “status”of voyeur.
